The transversal axis on which the FUNDESA commissions are placed is Institutional Strengthening. Institutional strengthening was prioritized based on needs and gaps. In other words, the most important reforms are those that make a frontal and sustained attack on poverty possible. Do not reform institutions just to reform.

As part of the initiative, we recognize the need to provide constructive ideas on how to strengthen the institutions in the country in charge of development, defining actions that will be necessary to undertake to make the main objective of reducing poverty in the country a reality. A Guatemala with security and justice means being able to live with tranquility and peace, where the rules are followed and justice is equal for all citizens.
